On the morning of February 7, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Shandong Dongyue Hull‑Processing Project, jointly undertaken by Jining Xinneng Shipbuilding and Shandong Dongyue, was held with great solemnity at the Shandong Dongyue Special‑Purpose Vehicle Plant. The ceremony marked the official launch of in-depth cooperation between the two parties in the shipbuilding sector. Attendees included Lü Canying, Deputy Director of the Economic Operations Bureau of Jining High‑Tech Zone; Liu Haisheng, Deputy General Manager of Jining Xinneng Shipbuilding; Wang Yafeng, Head of the Production Department; and Zhang Yangxun, Chairman and General Manager of Shandong Dongyue Group, among other leaders.
At the ceremony, the atmosphere was vibrant as all present witnessed this momentous occasion. The event was chaired by Han Kun, Deputy General Manager of Dongyue Group. In his opening address, Chairman Zhang Yangxun emphasized that this hull‑fabrication project represents a significant achievement born of the two parties’ complementary strengths and shared resources. Jining Xinneng Shipbuilding boasts extensive experience and cutting-edge technology in shipbuilding, while Shandong Dongyue Group brings deep expertise in the manufacture of specialized vehicles. By joining forces, the two companies will fully leverage their respective advantages to build a competitive hull‑fabrication industry.
Liu Haisheng, Deputy General Manager of Jining Xinneng Shipbuilding, also addressed the ceremony, emphasizing the project’s vital role in driving local economic development. The implementation of this project will not only stimulate growth across related industries but also enhance the region’s standing in the shipbuilding sector, making a positive contribution to the high-quality development of the local economy.
Subsequently, Lü Canying, Deputy Director of the Economic Operations Bureau of Jining High-tech Zone, announced the commencement of the project. With the sound of cannons, the construction site’s machinery and equipment began operating in an orderly manner, officially marking the start of the project’s production phase.
Looking ahead, Jining Xinneng Shipbuilding and Shandong Dongyue Group will take this project as an opportunity to further deepen their cooperation, strengthen technological innovation and talent development, and elevate product quality and service standards.
