Chairman Zhang Yangxun attended the Fourth Confucian Business Convention, sharing insights into the practical application of the Confucian business ethos.

On October 30, the Fourth Confucian Businessmen Conference was solemnly held at the Shandong Building. Attendees included Wang Guiying, Vice Governor of the Shandong Provincial People’s Government; Sun Yong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial People’s Government; Yuan Hongying, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Shandong Academy of Social Sciences; Hu Qinxiao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President; and Li Guodong, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President. Chairman Zhang Yangxun was invited to attend and delivered a keynote address titled “Carrying Forward the Spirit of Confucian Businessmen, Co‑Creating a Bright Future,” drawing on the company’s 33 years of development to elucidate the pathways for inheriting and putting into practice the spirit of Confucian businessmen in the new era.
In his speech, Chairman Zhang Yangxun outlined how Dongyue Special Vehicle has grown from a small, four‑no‑things factory into a diversified, group‑level enterprise, demonstrating the powerful driving force of the Confucian business ethos. He shared his insights across six key dimensions—“leveraging external opportunities for growth, winning the world through integrity, dedicating oneself to one’s field, committing to lifelong learning, pursuing endless innovation, and believing that only those who dare to strive can succeed”—resonating deeply with the audience.
Speaking of “leveraging trends,” General Manager Zhang used the company’s development as an example, illustrating how it has evolved from “going public via a backdoor listing” in its early stages, to integrating into China National Heavy Duty Truck Group’s global platform, and finally to strategically positioning itself in emerging industries—demonstrating a keen strategic vision that capitalizes on prevailing market dynamics. On the topic of “integrity,” he emphasized that “without trust, neither individuals nor businesses can thrive,” and noted that Dongyue has built a solid brand reputation by consistently upholding integrity across all relationships—whether with customers, partners, or employees. Regarding innovation and expertise, General Manager Zhang revealed that the company remains committed to its core business of special-purpose vehicles, cultivating deep expertise in a niche field—one meter wide yet a hundred meters deep—while allocating dedicated annual R&D funds. It also collaborates with universities and research institutes to co‑develop numerous products that meet world‑class standards. Furthermore, he shared the company’s efforts to foster a learning‑oriented organization and promote a spirit of perseverance, highlighting the Confucian‑business ethos of “cultivating oneself to build one’s career.”
The conference organizers commented that the presentation seamlessly integrated Confucian business culture with corporate management, offering entrepreneurs invaluable insights. This address not only highlighted the strategic acumen of Dongyue Special‑Purpose Vehicle but also helped advance the inheritance and innovation of the Confucian entrepreneurial spirit in the new era.
