On October 19, the annual conference of Fudan University’s School of Management, themed “Upholding Fundamentals While Innovating: Insights into the Future—Strategies for Enterprises to Break Through in Complex Environments,” was held at Nishan in Qufu. Zhang Yangxun, Chairman of the company, was invited to attend and participate in a roundtable discussion, engaging in in-depth dialogue with attendees and addressing key issues such as the practical application of Confucian values, innovative practices, and industry transformation.

 

On October 19, the annual conference of Fudan University’s School of Management, themed “Upholding Fundamentals While Innovating: Insights into the Future—Strategies for Enterprises to Break Through in Complex Environments,” was held at Nishan in Qufu. Zhang Yangxun, Chairman of the company, was invited to attend and participate in a roundtable discussion, engaging in in-depth dialogue with attendees and addressing key issues such as the practical application of Confucian values, innovative practices, and industry transformation.

As an entrepreneur who has devoted three decades to the specialized vehicle manufacturing sector, Chairman Zhang Yangxun pointed out that today’s complex business environment is shaped by the interplay of multiple factors—global economic restructuring, intensifying industry competition, and accelerating technological advancement. He emphasized that “upholding core principles” and “innovation” are the two key pillars for overcoming these challenges. “Upholding core principles means staying true to the fundamental stance and core values that underpin a company’s development; innovation, meanwhile, entails proactively breaking free from path dependencies and technological bottlenecks. Only when these two elements reinforce each other can a company achieve sustainable, long-term success,” he said. Drawing on Dongyue Company’s entrepreneurial journey, industrial upgrading, and management‑innovation strategies, Chairman Zhang engaged in in-depth dialogue and exchange with leading experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs in attendance. The organizers of this annual conference noted that Chairman Zhang’s insights not only underscored the sense of responsibility and commitment expected of business leaders but also seamlessly integrated practical experience with theoretical reflection, offering a concrete interpretation of the theme “Upholding Core Principles and Driving Innovation.”
